What If It’s Already Happening?
September 16, 2026 | Vol. 8
This week has somehow felt like there’s been a lot happening and not much happening at the same time. I played fantasy football for the first time and, quite frankly, crushed it for week one 😂 I was a guest on someone else’s podcast, spent time coaching and connecting with my Collective members, started preparing for an upcoming trip, and followed a nudge that became something entirely new and unexpected.
It would have been very easy to tell myself that it wasn’t part of the plan or that I already had enough to do. I could have added it to my “someday” list of ideas. Instead, I followed it. That nudge became something I’m calling The Possibility Pause™. It isn’t quite ready to share yet, but creating it has made me think about how much time we can spend preparing for what’s next. We prepare physically, mentally, and emotionally. We make plans, learn new things, work through what comes up, and tell ourselves we’re moving toward something.
I’ve certainly been doing that. I’m quite literally preparing to leave town while also thinking about how to grow this work, reach more people, and express what I believe more clearly. But what if I’m not only preparing for what comes next? What if it’s already happening? Maybe the creating, experimenting, speaking more honestly, and following the nudges aren’t simply leading me toward the work I’m here to do. Maybe they are the work.
That doesn’t mean fear, doubt, or uncomfortable things no longer come up for me. They do. The difference is that I recognize them more quickly, create enough space to hear what else is there, and don’t automatically let them make my decisions. Sometimes moving forward looks like one enormous, courageous decision. And sometimes it looks like noticing a nudge and allowing yourself to follow it before you know exactly where it will lead.
Is there an area of your life where you might pause and notice that what you’ve been preparing for is already happening?
Hit reply and share it with me. I’d love to hear what comes up for you.
This Week On The Podcast
What Is the Voice in Your Head Really Trying to Tell You? (Ep #35 Relationship Series)
We all have a voice in our heads that warns us, judges us, questions us, or tries to keep us from doing something uncomfortable. This week, I’m exploring what that voice may actually be trying to do, why fighting with it doesn’t always help, and what can change when we begin noticing it with curiosity instead of automatically believing everything it says.

What If Weekly...
What is one thing I want to remember about today?
This week’s card is actually the only card in Deck One that doesn’t begin with “What if?” 😂
I have this set as an alarm on my phone that goes off at the end of every day. I don’t often journal, so this is one simple way I reconnect with my day and notice what I might otherwise move past without really taking in.
And as I’m writing this, another possibility occurred to me: What if you wrote down one thing you want to remember about each day and placed it in a jar? You could read through them on New Year’s Eve, or reach into the jar on a day when it feels like there’s nothing worth remembering.
The things you write down don’t have to be big or life-changing. Maybe it’s something that made you laugh, a conversation you want to remember, something you did that surprised you, or one simple moment that just felt good.
What is one thing you want to remember about today?
What’s Unfolding...
Have you ever wondered what your inner critic actually sounds like? I created a new quiz to help you recognize the voice that tends to get loud when you’re about to do something new, uncertain, or uncomfortable.
Your result might be the Inner Risk Manager, Inner Perfectionist, Inner Critic, Inner Judge, or Peacekeeper. There’s no shame in having one. We all do. The important part is beginning to notice it, because that voice doesn’t have to keep making your decisions.

Hit reply and tell me what you want to remember about today, or send me your quiz result. I’d truly love to hear. 💜
Until next week, pause, notice, reconnect... and remember that the ordinary moments you’re living today may already be part of what you’ve been preparing for.
Much love,
Shannon💜
