I Will Always Love You...

August 26, 2026 | Vol. 5

I know I’m not alone in feeling incredibly sad about the passing of Dolly Parton.  I felt like I was just about done moving through my sadness of Hayden Panettiere, but Dolly hits even deeper for me.

I grew up listening to her music and watching her movies. 9 to 5, The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas at waaaay too young of an age šŸ˜‚, and of course, Steel Magnolias. She has simply always been there and it kind of felt like she always would be. I think that’s part of what makes losing her feel so significant for so many of us.

As I watched people share their memories and what Dolly meant to them, I started thinking about the impact one person can have. Her impact reached all over the world through her music, movies, generosity, humor, and the way she allowed herself to be fully and unapologetically who she was.

I often think about the impact I’ll leave behind and how people will remember me. But honestly, we don’t always know the impact we’re having on people’s lives while we’re here.

We may never know that something we said helped someone feel less alone, that our encouragement gave them the courage to take a step, or that simply being there made them feel seen and loved. We may never hear every story or see every ripple we create.

What if impact isn’t only something we leave behind someday? What if it’s being created right now through the way we love, listen, encourage, show up, and allow ourselves to be who we are?

What do you hope people will carry with them because you were here?

This Week On The Podcast

What If It’s Possible for You Too? (Relationship Series Ep #32)

Sometimes we observe other people’s lives and recognize that all kinds of possibilities do, in fact, exist. However, we can still struggle to believe those same possibilities are also available to us.

In this week’s episode, I’m exploring our relationship with possibility and what influences what we believe is possible for our own lives. What if someone else experiencing the relationship, career, dream, healing, or life you desire doesn’t have to be evidence that you’re behind? What if it can be evidence that another possibility exists?

What If Weekly...

What if I allow myself to be more vulnerable in my relationships?

This one can hit hard sometimes because fear can quickly take over and cause us to shut down. If I’m vulnerable, I could get hurt. I could be judged. I could be rejected.

Closing ourselves off can feel safer, but when we protect ourselves from the possibility of being hurt, we may also prevent ourselves from experiencing the deeper connection we desire in our relationships.

Vulnerability doesn’t mean sharing everything with everyone or ignoring what feels safe for you. It can begin with something small - expressing how you really feel, asking for what you need, receiving support, or allowing someone to see a part of you that you usually keep protected.

You get to decide what vulnerability looks like for you and who has earned the opportunity to receive it. What if you allowed yourself to open the door just a little and see what becomes possible?

Take One Minute
August 19, 2026 | Vol. 4 I’ve decided to embrace my ā€œmiddle-of-the-night wake-upā€ messages. I had a newsletter scheduled to go out at 7:00 this morning, and I woke up in the night with the thought, ā€œUnpublish it. That’s not the message you want to send.ā€ Was it a bad message? No, of course not. However, I realized it felt rushed, and I didn’t want to send something simply because I had intended...
Fall in Love With It Again
August 12, 2026 | Vol. 3 I haven’t always been a fan of baseball, but I fell in love with the game when my son was growing up. He loved to play, and I used to tell him allll the time, ā€œI absolutely love to watch you play.ā€ I am not athletic at all, but I found my own ways to become part of the experience with him. I learned to keep score, volunteered for the board, and eventually ran the snack ...
The Practice of Receiving
August 5, 2026 | Vol. 2 There always seems to be a lot of conversation about becoming better at giving.Ā  Giving more love, more support, more time, more encouragement.Ā  We're constantly being asked to give.Ā Ā  But how often do we talk about becoming better at receiving? Over the last several months, I’ve been recovering from reconstructive foot surgery. Recovery has required me to ask for help, ...
